What it's all about
So, I started this blog because so many times I felt unprepared for dinner. Like I was quickly looking through my cupboard to find anything to throw together before my husband came home. A while ago I started doing week-to-week menus but after a friend of mine found out I was doing an entire month, she asked for a copy. So here it is... a copy of what my family will be eating for the next month! Now, don't think that I'm some super mom who always has a perfect dinner ready every single night. Life happens, and things do get switched around on my calendar. Also, you will notice that there are only 5 days of meals; yes that means 5 days of cooking, 1 night of leftovers, and a fabulous date night for my hubby and me. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to send me any suggestions or comments!
One more thing, I will always tell you where I find my recipes. You will start to notice that most, almost ALL, my recipes come from Melanie. Her blog is amazing and she is amazing! She has inspired me to cook in ways that I never imagined. Her recipes are wonderful and I use at least one a day, if not more! At anytime if you would like to switch something or are looking for a great recipe or ideas, check out her website: melskitchencafe.com

A peak at May's Menu
I'm going to be posting May's menu soon so that everyone can get their shopping done and be ready for the month! A few items up for the menu...
Teriyaki Meatballs
Shrimp Tacos
BBQ Chicken
Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas
Bacon Cheese Burgers
Mini Glazed Meatloaf
Potato Tacos
…and much much more! Yum! Can't wait to get you all set up for the month! Check back by the end of the week for a complete months menu with recipes and all!
Until then, check out this cute cookie bar my sister helped me do for a shower.
We made 7 different kinds of cookies (3 dozen of each). Double chocolate chunk, M&M Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Buttermilk Lemon, Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, & Sugar Gems! It was a major hit and everyone loved snacking on them while chatting!
